SC Royals Field Hockey League Info

What is the Royals Field Hockey League?

• A 10-week program made up of 4 weeks training and 6 weeks of games!
• All teams are co-ed.
• Short-sided game (5-7 a side) format, 40-minute games. No goalies.
• Coached by SCR coaches and parent volunteers
• Medal ceremony at the last session

When and where?

• Sundays in Rancho Santa Margarita. Development: 1:30-3pm, Advanced: 3-4:30pm.
• Midweek training usually Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 pm for both age groups at Lake Forest Sports Park. Subject to change.

Waiver Form

Each player will need a completed waiver form brought on the first day of training (or emailed back).

What equipment is needed?

• Shin guards. Preferably field hockey type but soccer type will work OK.
• Mouth guard. We would recommend a comfier type like the Sisu brand
• Cleats for grass-based training sessions, running shoes for Astroturf sessions.
• The club will provide a hockey stick if needed. We recommend players buy their own stick. Sizing chart here.
• All goalie equipment will be provided by the club.
